The Indian Armed Forces have released satellite images of terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), revealing the damage caused by Operation Sindoor in the past few days since the operation was launched on May 7.
The before-and-after visuals clearly showed the impact of precision strikes on key locations such as Muridke and Bhawalpur, two spots known for being prominent hubs for terrorist operations. The images also capture the aftermath of India's targeted response on Pakistani air defence radars and airfields.
This measured military action was India’s retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists. In a 25-minute-long operation last week, Indian forces launched missile strikes on nine terrorist facilities—four in Pakistan (Bhawalpur, Muridke, Sarjal, and Mehmoona Joya) and five in PoK (including areas like Muzaffarabad, Gulpur, Kotli, and Bhimber).
These locations reportedly housed the operational bases of groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen, all of which have long posed a threat to the peace and security of India.
Muridke, a bustling commercial town, is widely known as the “terror nursery” of Pakistan. This is where the Hafiz-Saeed-led Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which is suspected to be behind the April 22 Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir, has its headquarters. The 200-acres-large facility is believed to house training camps and other infrastructure linked to militant activities.

Indian forces also attacked Bahawalpur in Pakistan’s Punjab province. It is known to be the stronghold of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and reportedly serves as the base of operations for the terror group.
Led by Masood Azhar, JeM has a long and deadly track record, including masterminding the horrific 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008, which claimed over 160 innocent lives, sending shockwaves across India.

Soon after India launched missile strikes at terror infrastructure under Operation Sindoor, Pakistan escalated the situation by launching an attack on civilian areas in India with drones and heavy shelling along the IB and LoC. In response, India hit selected military targets located deep inside Pakistan, including radar installations, command and control centres, and ammunition depots in Rafiqui, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Sialkot among others.
"Within three hours, 11 bases were attacked, including Nur Khan, Rafiqui, Murid, Sukkur, Sialkot, Pasrur, Chunian, Sargodha, Skaru, Bholari, and Jacobabad," Air Marshal AK Bharti said at a press conference on Monday.
"It was time to convey some message to the adversary... hit where it would hurt. India's retaliation though was precise, and measured. We have the ability to target every system in the air bases, but we showed restraint to avoid escalation," he added.
According to India, the strikes carried out on the nights of May 9 and 10 marked a historic first when any country had successfully targeted and damaged air force installations in a nuclear-armed nation.
India's retaliation was "precise and measured," Air Marshal Bharti added. "We have the ability to target every system in the air bases, but we showed restraint to avoid escalation," he said.
