Baramulla: Body of another terrorist recovered, 5 killed in total

In a gunbattle which broke out between terrorists and Army, four militants were gunned down yesterday.

Srinagar: A day after 4 terrorists were killed in an encounter in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, body of another terrorist was recovered from the encounter site in the forests, taking the number to five. “Body of one more militant was recovered this morning from the encounter site in the Ladoora forests in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla district in North Kashmir” an Army official said. He added that the number of militants killed in the operation so far had risen to five. In a gunbattle which broke out between terrorists and Army, four militants were gunned down yesterday. The security forces had started a search operation in the forest area, after a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists in the forest area. As soon as terrorists came across Army officials, the gunbattle broke out, which also injured an Army jawan. Weapons and other war-like stores were recovered from the encounter site, the Army official said, adding that the search operation was going on.
