Ram Mandir Inaugurated: In the wake of the grand inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering of over 7,000 people, including seers and prominent personalities from diverse backgrounds. Addressing the crowd, the Prime Minister expressed the significance of the occasion, stating, "Our Ram lalla won't have to live in a tent now; he will live in a grand temple".

"Lord Ram has finally arrived (in his abode) following the wait of centuries. After the patience that we showed for centuries and the sacrifices we made, our Lord Ram has finally arrived," PM Modi declared, honoring sacrifices that led to this historic moment.

Referring to the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute, he said, "Some people said that if Ram Temple is constructed, it will set off a firestorm (across the country)... However, this construction did not lead to any fire, but a new energy."

"Ram is not fire, he is energy. Ram is not a dispute, he resolution... Ram is not just present, he is eternal," PM Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister, in his address, declared, "January 22, 2024, is not just a date, but the beginning of a new era. The construction of Ram Mandir has filled people with a new energy". He emphasised that this moment would be etched in the collective memory for generations to come.

"Even after thousands of years, people will remember this date, this moment. It's Ram's supreme blessings that we are witnessing it," he added, underlining the enduring impact of the event.

He also apologised to Lord Ram saying, "There must be something lacking in our effort, sacrifice, and penance that we could not do this work for so many centuries. Today the work has been completed. I believe that Lord Shri Ram will definitely forgive us today."

Earlier in the day, he performed 'aarti' after witnessing the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined Prime Minister Modi inside the sanctum during the sacred proceedings.

The consecration of the much-anticipated Ram temple took place on Monday in Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath termed the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony as an emotional moment for the country after a 500-year wait.

"There are some feelings in my heart that I cannot find words to express. Everyone is emotional and happy. On this historic moment, every city and village in the country has turned into Ayodhya, and every path seems to be heading towards the Ram Janmabhoomi," he said, as quoted by news agency PTI.

PM Modi said the country now has to lay the foundation of India for the next 1,000 years. "We take a pledge to build a capable, grand, divine India from this moment," he added.
