Kejriwal questions Modi's silence on Dalit attacks

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's silence over the attacks on the members of Dalit community and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership to support such acts. "PM Modi's continued silence on Dalit attacks proves that these attacks are taking place with active support from top BJP leadership," Kejriwal tweeted. Kejriwal on Friday had visited Una town in Gujarat and met Dalits victims who were thrashed by members of a Hindu "cow protection group" for skinning a dead cow. Kejriwal had blamed the Gujarat government for their misery. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader had demanded strictest punishment to the guilty.
