In Next Ram Navami, Ram Lalla Will Be Inside Ram Temple: Amit Shah In Haridwar

Amit Shah in Haridwar: The union home minister expressed confidence that Lord Ram will be installed inside the Ram Temple, which is currently under construction in Ayodhya, by the next Ram Navami.

Union home minister Amit Shah said on Thursday, when the entire country celebrated Ram Navami, that he is confident that by the next year, Ram Lalla (Lord Ram) will no longer be celebrated in a temporary tent, but rather from the Ram Temple, which is currently under construction in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.

He made this statement while inaugurating Patanjali University at Uttarakhand's Haridwar.

Earlier in the day, Shah praised the central government's New Education Policy for emphasising mother tongue learning and universal education based on the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and Dayanand Saraswati.

In his address to the 113th convocation of the Gurukula Kangri here, Shah credited the university (supposed to be) with the revival of Vedic education in India and its integration with modern education.

Shah paid tribute to the university's founder, Swami Shraddhanand, saying he liberated India's education system from British control and revived the country's vedic education system while emphasising culture and modern education.

Shah praised the Narendra Modi-led central government's NEP, saying it embodies the visions of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, Swami Shraddhanand, Mahatma Gandhi, and Lala Lajpat Rai.

"The country's third education policy incorporates the visions of four great people. At the heart of this policy is Maharshi Dayanand's advocacy for accessible education, Swami Shraddhanand's advocacy for combining vedic and modern education, Mahatma Gandhi's advocacy for education in the mother tongue, and Lala Lajpat Rai's advocacy for education for all:" Shah said.

Congratulating the 1,800 students who received degrees at the convocation, he said they should be proud to have studied at a great institution like Gurukula Kangri University and urged them to apply their knowledge in nation-building so that India can emerge as the world's leading country in its 100th year.
