New Delhi: Even as the dust over Gyanvapi mosque controversy is yet to settle, a new debate has erupted, this time over Lord Hanuman's birthplace. Swami Aniket Shastri Deshpande Maharaj of Mahant Shri Mandalacharya Peethadheeshwar has summoned a Dharma Sansad in Nashik on May 31 to discuss the matter. Sadhus from around the country will present their opinion on Lord Hanuman's birthplace at the Dharma Sansad, and whatever conclusion is made at the gathering will be accepted by all, according to Swami Aniket, news agency ANI reported.
Notably, a Karnataka saint claims that Lord Hanuman was born in Kishkindha, Karnataka, and not in Anjaneri, Nashik.
According to the Valmiki Ramayana, Mahant Govind Das of Kishkindha said, Lord Hanuman was born in Kishkindha.
