ABP Exit Poll: Landslide Win Predicted For BJP In Haryana With 70 Seats

The state recorded a turnout of 65 per cent for 90 constituencies in the assembly elections by 6 pm on Monday, the Election Commission said.

New Delhi: (ABP Exit Poll): The ruling BJP is bracing for a landslide victory in Haryana, according to ABP News-C Voter Exit Poll. The Exit Poll has predicted that the saffron party will clinch 70 of the 90 seats in the assembly. The Congress continuing its dismal run is projected to win mere 8 seats, while other parties are limited to 12 seats. The Exit Poll has found that BJP may get 42% vote share, while Congress is tipped to get 26%, JJP 19% & Others 13%. The state recorded a turnout of 65 per cent for 90 constituencies in the assembly elections by 6 pm on Monday, the Election Commission said this evening. Though the main contest is between the BJP and Congress on several seats in the state JJP, which broke away from the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), is also being closely watched. Other parties in the running are the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), AAP and Swaraj India party. All through the campaign trail, the Congress felt that Haryana government had performed in the last 5 years badly but the Prime Minister was diverting the attention of voters to Kashmir. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar may have a clean image but several leaders have raised doubts about his administrative policies. His flippant remakrs have also many a times brought him in the line of criticism. Even though the Exit Poll results may be a reflection of the picture on October 24, what BJP may still be attacked for is the economic slump, farmer suicides, the agricultural distress and rising unemployment. The ruling BJP has set a target of grabbing over 75 seats in Haryana – it currently has 48 members in the 90-member Assembly. Haryana and Maharashtra went to polls on October 21, whose official results will be out three days later.
