AIIMS Guwahati To Be Inaugurated By PM Modi On April 14

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil the Northeast's first AIIMS in Guwahati on April 14, 2023.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences is a new campus that will be dedicated to the country by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will also inspect it and inaugurate other development initiatives.

These projects total roughly Rs 14,000 crores and comprise three medical institutions named Nalbari, Kokrajhar, and Nagaon, as well as AIIMS. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health, posted the first images of the institute, naming it "Ayushman Northeast!"

PM Modi will also take part in the celebrations with Bihu dancers and drummers, making it a one-of-a-kind occasion. He will also lay the groundwork for the Assam Advanced Healthcare Innovation Institute and a new bridge connecting Palashbari and Sualkachi on the outskirts of Guwahati.

He will also launch the 'Aapke Dwar Ayushman' campaign, which is expected to cost around Rs 8,500 crore.

With a capacity of 100 MBBS students, the AIIMS Guwahati would feature 750 beds and 30 AYUSH beds. It will offer individuals in the Northeast with world-class health care.

Delhi Govt Offices Closed On April 14 For Ambedkar's Birth Anniversary

According to an order by Delhi's LG VK Saxsena, all offices of the Delhi government's different departments, enterprises, and autonomous bodies will be closed on Friday to commemorate Dr. BR Ambedkar's birth day.

On the occasion of Ambedkar's birth anniversary, Lt Governor VK Saxena has declared April 14 as a 'closed holiday' in all government offices, autonomous bodies, and public sector undertakings of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, according to an order issued by the General Administration department on Thursday.
