Being the largest island of India, the Great Nicobar Island is one of the most beautiful islands because of its clear blue water and lush tropical rainforests awakened during the monsoon. Its richness in biodiversity, housing rare varieties of flora and fauna, assures a magnificent hidden on-screen paradise for nature lovers. An isolated landscape on this island makes the trip worthy through an ambience of calm. Ideal for families, the island provides opportunities for relaxation and rejuvenation at the edge of untouched nature.

Havelock Island is one among the islands of the Andamans; this island is the gem of the Indian Ocean, famous for its white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters. During the monsoon, the wet greenery makes the landscapes appear almost unreal. It is known for its scuba diving and snorkelling, thus making the destinations great for adventure lovers and romantic retreats.

A hidden treasure comprising 36 pristine coral islands, Lakshadweep is India's smallest union territory. Palm-fringed beaches surrounded by placid lagoons transform into a tropical dream during the monsoon. These islands are less crowded and thus offer a unique chance to witness amazing marine life and colourful coral reefs. An excursion here can help in unwinding and energising one with nature.

Situated in the Brahmaputra River in Assam, Majuli is one of the biggest river islands in the world. Unlike the usual beach island, Majuli is more of a cultural paradise, particularly in the monsoon when the island turns green and postcard pretty. This is the land of Assamese culture, with unique monasteries and moss-covered riverbanks rather than sandy beaches.

Lies off the Karnataka Coast, this island is famous for its rare hexagonal basaltic lava formations. The island is lesser known and offers scenic coastal views and pristine waters. During the monsoon, the stark contrast between the dark volcanic rocks and bright sky makes for the charming sight. The island is accessible by boat and remains a fascinating geological and scenic spot.
