'Super Thief': 77-year-old who has stolen over a thousand vehicles arrested in Delhi

New Delhi: Seventy seven-year-old Dhani Ram Mittal is known as 'Super Natwarlal', 'Indian Charles Sobhraj' and simply as 'Super Thief' in police records. He is, reportedly, involved in over 130 vehicle theft cases and arrested on Tuesday (July 5) from Delhi's Paschim Vihar in a Maruti Esteem car he had allegedly stolen on Monday (July 4). This was Dhani's second theft since his release from jail two months ago. According to reports, the elderly who operates majorly in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Punjab has stolen over a thousand vehicles in his 52 year career in crime. He usually steals old cars and sells them to a scrap dealer in West Delhi, said reports. Reportedly, Mittal is a Kleptomaniac. He does not steal for money but because he can not resist the urge of stealing. The con man also works as a lawyer and provides legal help to his friends.
