Man shot dead live on Facebook

New Delhi: A man was shot dead while live-streaming a video of himself on Facebook.

Antonio Perkins (28) from Chicago  was shot in the head and neck on the city's west side, said reports.

The video which is available on Facebook has been watched more than 700,000 times. On Facebook, it is the second time in less than three months that a shooting has been streamed live in in Chicago. It is worth mentioning here that in March a man was shot 16 times while broadcasting live. In both the cases, there has been no arrest. Facebook's live-streaming feature which was launched in 2010, allows anyone to broadcast online in real time. Bystanders can be heard screaming and crying. Chicago has one of the worst gun crime rates of in the US. According to reports, there were nearly 500 homicides last year.
