Zindagi Gulzar Hai Returns To Television

'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' is based on a book written by Umera Ahmed who has also written the screenplay of the show.

New Delhi: Good news for all 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' fans. The famous Pakistani TV show that made Pakistani actor Fawad Khan a household name in India is all set for a return on TV. Zindagi channel announced on Monday that it will be airing 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' as a value-added-service on DTH platforms like Tata Play, Dish TV and D2H.

Indian OTT platform ZEE5's Zindagi will now be available as Direct To Home service starting from Monday.

It will not just be Fawad Khan And Saman Saeed starrer 'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' but also popular shows like 'Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain', 'Aunn Zara' and 'Sadqay Tumhare' will also be streaming on the channel.

Previously, these shows were aired on Pakistani channel Hum TV between November 2012 and May 2013, News18 reported. However, most Indian audiences got to know about these shows through YouTube.

'Zindagi Gulzar Hai' is based on a book written by Umera Ahmed who has also written the screenplay of the show. The show has been directed by Sultana Siddiqui who created iconic characters Zaroon Junaid ( Fawad) and Kashaf Murtaza (Sanam).

Zindagi used to be a TV channel prior to its move online when it closed down in 2017 and shifted all its content online. It was known for showing Pakistani and Turkish dramas on Indian television.

Other shows that are part of Zindagi’s lineup also include ‘Baarish aur Chowmein’ starring Taapsee Pannu and Amit Sadh, Ketan Mehta's ‘Toba Tek Singh’, ‘Silvat’ starring Kartik Aaryan and Meher Mistry and ‘Saari Raat’ starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Ritwick Chakraborty, among others.
