World Telling Us To Take Break: BTS’ Suga Says Disbanding Rumours Were ‘Scary’

Suga recalled the time when BTS was rumoured to be disbanding.

New Delhi: BTS member Suga, who hosts the drinking show 'Suchwita', sat down with Big Bang's Taeyang, who is his guest on the latest episode. During the conversation between the two k-pop stars, the rapper recounted the time when BTS was rumoured to be splitting up.

BTS declared their break in order to focus on their solo ventures last year. Many people were left wondering if the band had permanently disbanded after their unexpected announcement.

“We look coolest as a team…I really love them so much. Since I’m a part of it, I love BTS as a fan as well. We’re brothers. I think it was in June, some content of us just drinking together was aired. People said the team was breaking up and going on hiatus. It wasn’t like that at all, we were just going on a break, due to unavoidable reasons. But when people were saying those things, the whole situation felt so scary. Why is the world telling us to take a permanent break? We are still active," Suga said in his show.

Suga brought up Park Jimin, another member of his band, who just collaborated with Taeyang in the music video 'Vibe'. When discussing Jimin and Taeyang's work on the show, Min Yoon Gi went on to say,“Jimin practised really hard. I was really surprised. He was at the practice studio, I would come and watch. He gets muscle cramps easily, but he said that he would practice no matter what.”

"Jimin works so hard until he gets it right. Even I couldn't keep up with him," Taeyang also added.

Meanwhile, Suga praised Jungkook as well, describing him as a genius. “I am not saying he doesn’t work hard but he has a lot of natural talent,” said Suga.

The Korean superband BTS is comprised of RM, Jin, SUGA, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. After the success of Vibe, Jimin will shortly release his whole solo album as the members are now concentrating on their individual projects. Member Jin is already serving in the South Korean army, and others will do so shortly.

It is anticipated that BTS will return as a group sometime in or around 2025.
