Samantha Ruth Prabhu Injured While Shooting For Indian Adaptation Of 'Citadel'

Samantha has also done a lot of action on the series 'The Family Man' and her recently released film 'Yashoda'.

New Delhi: Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu was injured on the sets of the Indian adaptation of 'Citadel' reportedly doing some heavy-duty stunts on the sets of the show. Samantha took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday to share a picture of her bruised hands after the shoot. Samantha captioned her post '‘perks of action’. From the image, it seems that Samantha suffered a lot of injury as bloodstains can be seen in the picture. Samantha has also done a lot of action on the series 'The Family Man' and her recently released film 'Yashoda'.

Earlier, Samantha also shared a video of herself training with action director Yannick Ben. In the video, which she shared on her official Instagram handle, we see Samantha practice action sequences. Reportedly, the prep for action sequences was happening in Nainital. A few days ago, she had also shared a picture of herself riding a horse.

'Citadel' orginally being directed by Russo Brothers will star Priyanka Chopra, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci. The three actors are headlining the global version of the series while the Indian adaption is being created by Raj & DK. The Indian adaptation of 'Citadel' will star Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan in the lead.

Meanwhile, Samantha will also resume shooting for 'Kushi' alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Samantha was last seen in the Telugu action-thriller 'Yashoda'. The film was a box office hit and collected Rs. 40 crores at the box office.

Meanwhile, Samantha also has 'Shaakuntalam' in the pipeline. The film was originally set to be released in February. However, it has now been postponed to April 2023. A mythological romantic drama, 'Shaakuntalam' has been directed by Gunasekhar.

Samantha completed 13 years in the film industry over the weekend. On the occasion, she penned a special note on Instagram which read: "The older I get... the farther I go. I just feel deeply thankful for all the love and affection...and for each new day and all the good things it brings. So many things that used to affect me... don’t anymore. Just a wave of love and gratitude every day. Thank you (sic)."
