Queen Charlotte A Bridgerton Story is perhaps the best of all seasons due to its portrayal of real, difficult subjects like slave trade, Regency bill, racial discrimination, state of women, mannerisms, lineage etc. among other things

Corey Mylchreest is an actor to watch for his performance as King George III, the longest-lived and longest-reigning male monarch of the British Empire. Corey's portrayal of King George III's illness; reportedly bipolar disorder or the blood disease porphyria is a rare element in the shiny 'Bridgerton' series we had become accustomed to.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story boasts a great ensemble cast. It's production design deserves a special mention especially with the portrayal of British monarchy, royal household and issues like regency bill, obsession with producing heirs for the royal bloodline to continue, racial discrimation etc.

The chemistry between the monarch and subject, and especially the Reynolds and Brimsley angle as a superimposed parallel between the half-mad king and the outsider Charlotte is a great layer. As is also the colour palette signifying Reynolds as King George's attendant always in royal blue--the true blue blooded royal and Brimsley as Queen Charlotte's attendant in the European red; suggesting her fiesty, experimental and continental approach to monarchy.

Lady Danbury angle and the entire debate around the historic fictionalisation of passing titles with line for 'their side' and the entire racial discrimation angle is another reason to give this rather charming and glamorous show a serious watch

India Ria Amarteifio's performance as Queen Charlotte is another commendable feather in the series hat. Her dilemma to serve her nation, do her duty as a monarch besides also finding love in a tumultous partner is an idealistic notion--nevertheless, a new perspective on portrayal of love and a reversal of the entire 'madwoman in the attic' idea

Despite all these, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is riddled with problems, the foremost being the obsession with the British monarchy which continues to this date...However, the show is a must watch for all those who have missed it out.
