New Delhi: Television actor Lataa Saberwal, widely recognised for her long-running role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has confirmed that she and her husband, actor Sanjeev Seth, have parted ways. The couple, whose on-screen chemistry grew into real-life romance, had been married for nearly 16 years.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Lataa broke her silence and issued a brief but heartfelt statement. "After a prolonged silence, I declare that I (Lataa Saberwal) have been separated from my husband (Mr Sanjeev Seth). I give gratitude to him for giving me a lovely son. I wish him all the best for his future life," she wrote.
The actress requested respect for her and her family's peace, asking fans not to ask questions or call regarding the separation. "I request everyone to please respect my and my family’s peace and not to ask any questions or call regarding this. GRATITUDE," she added.
Lataa Saberwal and Sanjeev Seth have maintained a strong presence on social media, frequently sharing vlogs and fun videos with their followers. The couple also showcased their real-life connection in 2013 when they took part in Nach Baliye 6.
In 2021, Lataa Saberwal shared that she was quitting TV to focus on other creative pursuits.
