Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji: Jasmin Bhasin QUITS the show

Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji lead actress Jasmin Bhasin might move out of the show, if a recent grapevine is to be believed.

New Delhi: Popular TV actress Jasmin Bhasin, who is currently seen playing the lead role in Star Plus’ ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’, might move out of the show. The beautiful actress plays the titular role of Happy Mehra in the show produced by Gul Khan’. ‘Dil Toh..’, which was launched in January earlier this year, has been struggling to perform well in the TRP charts. The makers of the show introduced a five-year leap in order to spice up things. Gossip mills are buzzing with the rumours that Jasmin Bhasin has quit ‘Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji’. Yes, you read that right. Jasmin with 'Dil Toh...' co-stars (Photo: Hotstar) Ansh Bagri, who plays the role of Rocky in the show, is shown as father to a boy, Honey post the leap. Child artist Ajinkya Mishra is playing the character of Honey. A report in an entertainment portal suggested that Jasmin was reluctant to bond with the kid on-screen, as she is quite young in age. The makers of the show are looking for another actress to replace Jasmin. “Jasmin was not okay bonding with a child in the show. Even though she had agreed on the story line, on scene level she was uncomfortable. We do not want any actor to be uncomfortable or unhappy while shooting. So we amicably parted ways. We wish her all the best,’’ producer Gul Khan told IWMBuzz.

On the professional front, Jasmin Bhasin made her TV debut with ‘Tashan-E-Ishq’. She later went on to do shows like ‘Dil Se Dil Tak’ and ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 9’. Several small screen actresses including Shivangi Joshi, Meera Deosthale have played the role of mothers to kids in their respective shows. Jasmin's decision to leave the show might surprise several people.  It remains to be seen if Jasmin will change her mind and continue with the show or not. Stay tuned for more telly updates!
