Celebrity MasterChef Contestant Usha Nadkarni Breaks Down While Remembering Her Late Brother
In an emotional episode of 'Celebrity MasterChef', Usha Nadkarni opened up about her heartbreaking past, leaving judges and fellow contestants touched.

New Delhi: Contestant Usha Nadkarni told a very personal story to the other contestants and viewers of the most recent episode of 'Celebrity MasterChef, which took an emotional turn. In a special challenge when contestants had to make meals inspired by festivals, Usha moved the judges and viewers with a heartfelt remembrance of her younger brother, who had passed away.
During the special episode, Vikas Khanna, a Michelin-starred chef and judge on the show, asked Usha Nadkarni why she often mentioned celebrating festivals alone. The 'Pavitra Rishta' star fought back tears as she talked about spending holidays alone because of work.
Usha revealed that her younger brother had raised her son while she was away for work. Overcome with emotion, Usha shared that her brother passed away on June 30, 2024.
The actress shared, “My younger brother, who was my life, passed away. Uski yaad bohot aati hai (I miss him a lot)."
Her sad story touched Chef Vikas, who also broke down in tears and talked about how he lost his sister and spent Diwali by himself in New York.
Vikas gave Usha a hug and told her she was "amazing". It was a touching moment that showed how people feel about home-cooked food and how important family is during holidays.
