Rajat Dalal On Elvish Yadav's 101 iPhone 16 Pro Max Giveaway Announcement: 'I Don’t Listen To Hearsay'

Rajat Dalal’s journey on Bigg Boss 18 came to a halt as he failed to secure a spot in the top two of the grand finale, despite enjoying widespread fan support and backing from popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav.

Bigg Boss 18: Rajat Dalal’s journey on Bigg Boss 18 came to a halt as he failed to secure a spot in the top two of the grand finale, despite enjoying widespread fan support and backing from popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav. His elimination has led to some speculating that Elvish’s involvement might have inadvertently harmed Rajat’s chances.

Rajat Dalal on his support

During the show, Elvish Yadav publicly supported Rajat at a press conference, where he faced criticism and a subsequent media boycott after engaging in a heated debate over organising meet-ups to rally votes for Rajat. Asked if he felt reassured by the show of support during the press conference, Rajat told Zoom, “We were inside the house and unaware of how the voting was going. I don’t believe in things just because they are said. I trust what I see. Elvish never mentioned anything about the voting situation. I conducted myself properly inside the house and remained aware of everything happening around me there. But I didn’t know what was going on outside, as we didn’t have access. Now that everything has happened, we can’t change it.”

Rajat Dalal on whether Elvish Yadav's support backfired for him

Adding to the controversy, a day before the finale, Elvish announced a grand gesture on social media, pledging to give away 101 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices if Rajat emerged as the winner. The announcement stirred excitement but also skepticism among fans. After Rajat’s eviction, many believed this campaign had backfired, creating unnecessary distractions and possibly alienating some voters.

Responding to these claims, Rajat said, “If someone is talking about phone giveaways, it was our prerogative to do so. People are asking me whether Elvish’s support spoiled my game. If someone says that to me, I accept it happily. I have no issues with that, but I know there’s nothing to it. I don’t listen to hearsay. It’s up to you to believe whatever you want.”

Karan Veer Mehra won the title of Bigg Boss 18 champion and walked away with the coveted trophy and a cash prize of ₹50 lakh. Vivian Dsena was the runner-up.
