The makers of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' took to their offical Twitter handle to issue an apology.

New Delhi: The makers of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' have apologised for sharing incorrect information about one of Lata Mangeshkar's songs.

This happened during an episode where the members of Gokuldham society were playing 'musical night'. During this discussion, the song 'Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon' was said to have been released in 1965 when the correct year is 1963.

The makers of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' took to their offical Twitter handle to issue an apology that said, "We would like to apologise to our viewers, fans and well-wishers. In today’s episode, we inadvertently mentioned 1965 as the year of release of song “Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon”. However, we would like to correct ourselves. The song was released on 26th Jan, 1963. We promise to be mindful in the future. We appreciate your support and love.”

In the said episode, Bhide (Mandar Chandwadkar) gets his tape recorder repaired to play some old songs for the musical night. As he plays the last song 'Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo', Dadaji shares the story behind the creation of the song although he mentions the wrong year.

'Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo' was created as a tribute to all the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the Sino-Indian War of 1962. The song has been written by Kavi Pradeep and composed by C Ramchandra.

'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is one of the most popular TV shows that is loved by children and adults alike. Not only does it impart important life lessons but also encourages positive co-habitance with fellow human beings who may be completely different from you.
