In a recent interview, Saanvi revealed that she first saw Sidharth in Karan Johar’s 2012 film Student of the Year and instantly developed a crush on him.

During an interaction on Jinal Modi’s YouTube channel, Saanvi admitted that she was deeply heartbroken when Sidharth married Kiara Advani in 2023. She even cried over it, to the point that her friends sent her condolence messages. "I had a crush on him from the moment I saw him. I fully cried when he got married—to the point where I put a meme on my story saying, ‘Alexa, play Channa Mereya’,” she shared.

Before Sidharth’s marriage, Saanvi frequently shared his posters on her Instagram stories and saved them in her Highlights section. At one point, she had nearly 700 posts dedicated to him. “I used to put all his fan page posters on my story and highlight them. Each highlight has 100 stories, and I had seven filled highlights on my profile with just Sidharth Malhotra pictures. After he got married, I felt a little embarrassed to keep them,” she admitted.

Saanvi also shared that she eventually deleted all the posts, as she was considering becoming an actor herself and felt it might seem strange to Sidharth if he ever came across her profile. “I thought, ‘What if I become an actor one day, and he looks at my profile? What must he think of me?’ That’s when I deleted everything. I cried while doing it, but I deleted everything,” she added with a laugh.

When asked if watching Sidharth and Kiara’s wedding video felt like the “saddest movie of her life”, Saanvi agreed. “It was. I refused to watch it… My friends even texted me saying, ‘Sorry for your loss.’ It was very embarrassing,” she recalled.

Interestingly, SS Rajamouli also once spoke about his daughter’s admiration for Sidharth Malhotra. In 2016, the RRR filmmaker thanked Sidharth for meeting his daughter, while the actor appreciated her level-headedness.
