Nayanthara Shuts Down Divorce Rumours With Vignesh Shivan Without Saying A Word

Nayanthara shuts down separation rumours with Vignesh Shivan through a playful post, even as her Netflix doc faces fresh copyright issues.

Putting speculation to rest, actress Nayanthara shared a playful photo with her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, amid widespread buzz around a possible separation.

Nayanthara Puts Marriage Rumours to Rest

The picture, shared via her Instagram Stories, shows the couple in a candid moment—Nayanthara sitting on Vignesh's back with the caption, “Our reaction when we see loopy news about us!”

The image was a direct response to recent media reports claiming trouble in their marriage. However, this isn’t the first time such rumours have circulated. Despite repeated whispers about tensions in their relationship, the couple has continued to present a united front on social media.

Netflix Documentary Faces Legal Hurdles

While Nayanthara handled the personal rumours with humour, she is also at the centre of a legal storm regarding her Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairytale. The documentary, which premiered in November 2024, explores her life journey, marriage, and role as a mother to twin boys.

The Madras High Court has now issued notices to Netflix and Tarc Studio LLP based on a copyright plea filed by AP International. According to a LiveLaw report, the rights holder of the 2005 Tamil hit Chandramukhi has alleged that footage from the film was used in the documentary without prior permission or license.

Earlier, actor-producer Dhanush had also initiated legal proceedings against the documentary team, alleging that clips from the 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan—which he produced—were included without his consent. Despite being asked to remove the footage, the content reportedly remained, prompting Dhanush to file a ₹10 crore lawsuit.

On the professional front, Nayanthara is set to reunite with Chiranjeevi for their third film together, tentatively titled Mega157. As per reports by 123 Telugu, shooting for the film has already begun in Mussoorie. The duo previously starred together in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019) and Godfather (2022).
