Mohanlal is all set to return in his iconic role as Steven Nedumpally in the highly anticipated L2E: Empuraan. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film marks their third collaboration after the blockbuster hits Lucifer and Bro Daddy. This sequel to the 2019 smash hit Lucifer not only expands the gripping narrative but also introduces audiences to a darker, action-packed chapter in the trilogy.

With L2E: Empuraan, Lyca Productions makes its much-awaited debut in the Malayalam film industry, teaming up with Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirwad Cinemas for this ambitious project. The film promises to be a cinematic spectacle, blending themes of power, betrayal, and control against a backdrop of political intrigue and the shadowy world of mercenaries.

L2E: Empuraan Teaser

As the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, L2E: Empuraan promises an intense cinematic journey. The recently launched teaser, unveiled in Kochi, offers a glimpse into the film’s gripping narrative. Set in the abandoned Northern Iraqi town of Qaraqosh, the teaser introduces Steven Nedumpally, a saviour with a dark edge who leads the most powerful mercenary group in Asia under the alias Ab’raam Qureshi. The visuals hint at a tale of power, betrayal, and control, blending the murky world of mercenaries with political intrigue.

 

Adding to the grandeur of the teaser launch was the presence of Megastar Mammootty as the chief guest, along with the film’s cast, crew, and other notable figures. Mohanlal is seen in a high-octane action-packed role, with the teaser showcasing the film's ambition for scale and drama.

Lyca Productions, known for high-budget and content-rich films, is co-producing L2E: Empuraan alongside Antony Perumbavoor’s Aashirwad Cinemas. The ensemble cast features notable names like Prithviraj Sukumaran, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Saniya Iyyappan, Sai Kumar, and Baiju Santosh.

The screenplay is penned by Murali Gopy, with Deepak Dev composing the music and Sujith Vaassudev handling cinematography. The film also benefits from production design by Prithviraj Productions and art direction by Mohandas.

Slated for a global release on March 27, 2025, L2E: Empuraan will hit screens in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, promising an epic experience for audiences everywhere.
