Sonam Kapoor Gets Discharged From The Hospital After Giving Birth, Anand Ahuja Distributed Sweets
Images of Sonam and Anand bringing their new baby home from the hospital have gone viral on the internet.
New Delhi: Actress Sonam Sonam Kapoor announced her pregnancy with husband Anand Ahuja in March 2022. On August 20, the actress gave birth to a baby boy, and ever since then, social media has been busy with people expressing their congratulations and well wishes for the new parents.
After spending a week in the hospital, Sonam finally gets discharged on Friday. Sonam Kapoor welcomed her newborn baby home from the hospital in the afternoon today. Actor Anil Kapoor was seen together with his son-in-law Anand Ahuja handing out sweets to the paparazzi who were stationed outside of Anil Kapoor's home in Mumbai. They smiled brightly at the photographers as they approached.

The new mother discussed the challenges she faced due to her older maternal age in a recent interview. Sonam said that she had progesterone injections everywhere on her body in order to ensure a successful pregnancy at the age of 37.
Talking to Vogue Magazine, Sonam said, “It was tough. I was taking progesterone shots in my thighs and stomach—practically everywhere on my body—because I was of advanced maternal age and was constantly throwing up, sick and bedridden. Everyone’s so tense about women who get pregnant after 31 or 32. They tell you don’t do this, don’t do that, don’t get gestational diabetes or pre-eclampsia. I was like, Wait, hang on, I still feel very young. I’ve got my dad’s genes, I look very young. It’ll be fine.”
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja announced the good news last week through an Instagram post. They took to Instagram and wrote the statement: "On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It's only the beginning but we know our lives are forever changed - Sonam and Anand."
