Rashmika Mandanna will play one of her boldest roles yet in director Atlee's ambitious sci-fi action epic starring Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, and Janhvi Kapoor.

After the blockbuster success of Jawan and the frenzy around 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', director Atlee and superstar Allu Arjun are coming together for an ambitious cinematic venture tentatively titled AA22xA6. The high-concept film is being described as a technical and visual marvel, and now, the makers have confirmed that Rashmika Mandanna has officially joined the cast in a role that’s said to be one of the most daring of her career.

A Bold New Chapter for Rashmika

According to sources close to the project, Rashmika recently completed her look test and body scan in Los Angeles, where key pre-production work is underway. Described as a major departure from her role in the Pushpa franchise, this character will showcase a different dynamic between Rashmika and Allu Arjun.

“Rashmika Mandanna has come on board Atlee’s ambitious film. The actress will be seen in one of the most daring roles of her career. The dynamics of Rashmika and Allu will be very different from what they shared in Pushpa franchise,” a source told Pinkvilla.

Atlee’s Vision: Two Universes, One Epic

The film is being mounted as a futuristic action spectacle with a scale that rivals global franchises. It is said to be set across two distinct universes, in a style that draws comparisons to Avatar in terms of technical innovation and world-building.

“Atlee’s next is a technical marvel, as the filmmaker is looking to create his own Avatar-like film set in two different universes. He has got a rock-solid ensemble cast, as the biggest male and female actors of Indian Cinema are on board the film to play key roles," the source added.

The star-studded cast includes Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur, each playing significant roles alongside Allu Arjun and Rashmika.

Global Release Plans and Production Timeline

Backed by Sun Pictures, AA22xA6 is already being billed as a landmark film in Indian cinema. The production is expected to wrap filming by late 2026, with post-production running parallel to shooting to ensure high-quality visual output.

“The idea is to have post-production work going on in tandem with the shoot, for the actors to know the output. The team is committed to make a global project, and the release date will be announced with a heavy on visual promo soon,” the source said.

Set for a global theatrical release in late 2026 or early 2027, the film will be released in multiple languages, promising to cater to both domestic and international audiences.

With a visionary director, a powerful ensemble, and cutting-edge storytelling, AA22xA6 is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Indian films of the decade.
