Tarla Teaser: Huma Qureshi Transforms Into Chef Tarla Dalal In Flavourful Drama

The biographical film is based on the life of renowned chef and food critic Tarla Dalal.

New Delhi: The makers of Huma Qureshi-starrer 'Tarla' have released the teaser of the film. The biographical film is based on the life of renowned chef and food critic Tarla Dalal. Huma Qureshi takes her role in the teaser and shows her love of food. We are introduced to Huma's character, who is a driven person, in the beginning of the teaser. 

Over time, she realises her passion for cooking and transforms from a novice to a professional chef. She starts her cooking classes and TV shows eventually. The quick teaser also gives viewers a glimpse into her personal life and shows her spouse and family. The teaser portrays the movie as a simple feel-good tale about the celebrity chef.

Huma Qureshi shared the teaser on Instagram with a caption that read, “Prepare to be served with a dash of emotions, a sprinkle of inspiration, and a garnish of flavourful entertainment in #Tarla on #ZEE5, coming soon.”

Talking about the movie, she told Filmfare in 2022, "Tarla Dalal reminds me of my childhood. I clearly remember how my mom used to try her recipes when we were kids. Looking forward to this very special character.”

Food expert, chef, cookbook author, and host Tarla Dalal specialised in Indian food. She published more than 100 books about food and more than 10 million copies were sold. She suffered a heart attack on November 6, 2013, and passed away at the age of 77.

The movie 'Tarla' is helmed by Piyush Gupta. It will be released on Zee5. 

Huma was last seen in the Netflix film 'Monica, O My Darling'. She played Monica Machado in the film, which also starred Rajkummar Rao and Radhika Apte in the key roles. Along with Tarla, 'Pooja Meri Jaan' is another project Huma is working on. The movie, which also stars Vijay Raaz, Mrunal Thakur, and Vikram Singh Chauhan, is directed by Vipasha Arvind and Navjot Gulati.
