Noida Police Interrogates Elvish Yadav In Snake Venom Case; YouTuber Denies Allegations

Elvish Yadav was questioned by the Noida Police on Wednesday over suspected use of snake venom at a party.

New Delhi: Bigg Boss OTT winner and Youtuber Elvish Yadav was questioned by the Noida Police early Wednesday over suspected use of snake venom at a party, officials said. Evidence of certain parties held in Rajasthan and Delhi was uncovered. The CCTV footage from the locations where these parties were held is currently being examined by the police.

Elvish was interrogated by officials about all the recordings and pictures that had been found at this point during the probe. However, the YouTuber has denied the allegations against him.

During the course of their investigation, the police found some leads, and they suspect that if the venom of these snakes has been used in parties, it may have been diluted with chemicals. A team from Noida Police is investigating this as well.

Yadav, the reality show winner, is one of the people named in the official complaint filed last week in accordance with the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.

"Yadav has joined the investigation. He came to the police station around 11.30 pm on Tuesday. He was then questioned for around two hours and let off. He will be called again," a senior officer of the Noida Police told PTI, requesting anonymity.

Five people have been apprehended for their involvement with the case, and the police have already asked that they be placed under detention. On November 3, nine snakes, including five cobras, were recovered, and 20 milliliters of suspected snake venom had been seized. The incident took place at a banquet hall in Sector 51.

Yadav was not present at the party venue, according to police, and they are currently investigating his involvement in the entire case of recreational snake venom use that was found by the animal rights organization PFA (People for Animals).
