Netflix To Introduce Kerala's Own Superhero ‘Minnal Murali’ Soon

Netflix to premiere India’s own Flash, Minnal Murali, the fastest man alive on Earth directed Basil Joseph soon.

The Malayalam film industry is all set to introduce its own superhero Minnal Murali featuring actor Tovino Thomas to the world. The brand new crusader from Malayalam origin to join the league of superheroes of the world soon! 

Native Superhero

Yes, you heard that right! Netflix India has dropped a 35-second video of the upcoming superhero flick ‘Minnal Murali’, naming it an official announcement today (September 6, 2021) on YouTube. The video shows a local tea stall where a flickering TV screen goes on the blink and a viewer damns the lightning for his source of entertainment then suddenly the title of the local superhero movie flashes out of the screen with desi tunes. The native superhero movie is to be released in multiple languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and English.

Barry Allen vs Jaison

Actor Tovino Thomas plays the role of Jaison, the fastest man alive on Earth, who acquires special powers after being struck by the lightning just like the Hollywood superhero Flash aka Barry Allen. However, Barry was not directly hit by the lightning; Jaison aka Minnal Murali does. 

High expectation

Fans of superhero films in south India are excited about the desi superhero calling it a game-changer for the Malayalam film industry, which raises the expectation. The poster of Minnal Murali was out a year ago and it was set for 2020 release, but the making of the film was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Produced by Sophia Paul has bankrolled the film under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters.

Actors Aju Varghese, Harisree Ashokan, Guru Somasundaram, Baiju Santhosh, and Bijukuttan will be seen in key roles in the movie. Netflix is yet to announce the film's release date.
