‘Celebrating Life Today’ Says Actress Nafisa Ali As She Shares Throwback Video Taken After Her Cancer Surgery In 2019

Nafisa Ali was declared cancer-free in 2019 and on Saturday, the ‘Major Saab’ fame actress took to Instagram to share a throwback video taken after her surgery.

Veteran actress Nafisa Ali Sodhi underwent a surgery for peritoneal cancer in 2019 and the actress who has fully recovered is celebrating life with family now.

She was declared cancer-free in 2019 and on Saturday, the ‘Major Saab’ fame actress took to Instagram to share a throwback video taken after her surgery. In the video she can be seen walking with the help of the nurses in the hospital.

Along with the video Nafisa Ali wrote, "This was me 2 years ago ( in the ICU) after my big Peritoneal cancer surgery. The Doctors , the medical team who cared for me and the hospital were amazing as they gave me courage . Happy and celebrating life today with my super positive family."

The Life In A Metro actress was recently in news after she quashed rumours of singer Lucky Ali’s death on social media.

Nafisa Ali shared the health update of Lucky Ali, on Twitter, “Lucky is totally well and we were chatting this afternoon. He is at his farm with his family. No Covid. In good health."

Nafisa Ali made her Bollywood debut in Shashi Kapoor's Junoon in 1979. She has appeared in many Bollywood films including Yamla Pagla Deewana, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 and Major Saab among others.

The Bollywood veteran is married to Arjuna-award-winning golfer, Colonel Sodhi. The couple is parents to Pia Sodhi, Armana Sodhi and Ajit Sodhi.
