Sonam's 'best actress' title trending on Twitter

New Delhi: Ever since B-Town's fashionista Sonam Kapoor has been announced the best actress for her performance in 'Neerja' at the Indian Film Festival Melbourne, her social media handles are flooded with warming compliments and wishes. Several from the fraternity, including Farah Khan, Sunil Shetty, Athiya, Genelia Deshmukh, Sophie Choudry and Raj Kumar Rao, lauded her performance in the biographical thriller based on the tragic story of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who died while saving the lives of her passengers. "BIGG Hugg 2 @sonamakapoor 4 winning Best Actress at @IFFMelb 4 Neerja.. My favourite film of the year til now!! Well deserved baby," wrote Farah Khan. Actress Genelia Deshmukh tweeted, "Congratulations @sonamakapoor .. Well deserved." Anil Kapoor, also took the opportunity of praising his beloved daughter on social media. Swara Bhaskar, one of her best buddies and 'Ranjhana' co-star tweeted, "Many congrats @sonamakapoor for #BestActress win at #IFFM2016 #Melbourne for #Neerja Richly deserved, I just heard!!! Woohooooo" Along with her performance in the movie, the 'Khoobsurat' actress also bagged in numerous compliments for her dazzling Anamika Khanna outfit.
