The film is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Yogi Babu, and many others in key roles.

The worldwide premiere of Jawan is scheduled for September 7. In 2D and Imax formats, it will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
