New Delhi: Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel starrer 'Gadar 2' is running successfully in theatres in the North while Rajinikanth led 'Jailer' has wreaked havoc at the box office in South. Meanwhile, despite the two giant films taking a lion's share in the collections at the box office, Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2' thanks to word of mouth reviews also happens to be doing well.

Here is a comparative analysis of the box office records of 'Jailer' vs 'Gadar 2' vs 'OMG 2'.

'Gadar 2' Box Office Week 1

'Gadar 2' is on a box office haul and has collected Rs. 283.35 crores within the first seven days since release. The Independence Day holiday helped in significant growth in the film's initial run days. The film's opening day collection was Rs. 40.1 crores. On Day 2, 'Gadar 2' collected Rs. 43.08 cr, Day 3: Rs. 51.7 cr, Day 4: Rs. 38.7 cr, Day 5: Rs. 55.4 cr, Day 6: Rs.32.37 cr, Day 7: Rs. 23.28 cr.

The film's India net collection is Rs. 284.63 crores while the worldwide collection stands at Rs. 369 crores.

'Jailer' Box Office Week 1

As per industry tracking site Sacnilk, Rajinikanth film 'Jailer' collected Rs, 225.65 crores net in India within the first seven days of release. On its eighth day, the film's early collection stands at Rs. 10 crores in all languages.

Globally, the film has already crossed the Rs. 450 crores mark.

On Day 1, the film collected Rs. 48.35 cr, Day 2: Rs. 25.75 cr, Day 3: Rs. 34.5 cr, Day 4: Rs.42.2 cr, Day 5: Rs. 23.55 cr, Day 6: Rs. 36. 5 cr, Day 7: Rs. 15 cr and Day 8: Rs. 10 crores( early estimates).

Despite a decline in collections on Monday, 'Jailer' bounced back with a growth rate of 54.99%, reported Sacnilk.com, on Tuesday.

OMG 2 Box Office Week 1

Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi starrer 'OMG 2' has collected Rs. 84. 72 crores within the first 7 days of release. The film has seen quite an interesting trajectory at the box office. Despite opening to low numbers, Rs. 10.26 crores on Friday, glowing reviews and word of mouth helped film jump business significantly in Saturday with a growth rate of 49.12%, reported Sacnilk.com.

On Day 1, 'OMG 2' collected Rs. 10.26 cr, Day 2: Rs. 15.3 cr, Day 3: Rs. 17.55 cr, Day 4: Rs. 12.06 cr, Day 5: Rs. 17.1 cr, Day 6: Rs. 7.2 cr, Day 7: Rs. 5.58 cr. The India net collection stands at Rs. 85.05 cr.

The worldwide collection of 'OMG' stands at Rs. 120 cr.
