Fawad Khan To Make His Bollywood Comeback With Vaani Kapoor: Reports

New Delhi: Following the breakout roles in critically acclaimed Bollywood films such as ‘Khoobsurat’ and ‘Kapoor & Sons’, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is returning for another film. Reportedly, the superstar is being cast opposite stunning Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor. The will be directed by Aarti Bagdi and will be filmed in the United Kingdom.

Fawad Khan to Work in Bollywood 

A trade source stated, “Fawad Khan has a massive international pull given his popularity amongst South Asians worldwide. He has also been a part of the Marvel cinematic universe. Details of this project is being kept under wraps and everyone is tight-lipped about it. The producers will announce this project just before it starts its filming schedule in the UK.”

The source added, “Vaani Kapoor has been a part of big films and she was the perfect choice for this project, given how she has protected herself from being over-exposed. The makers wanted an incredibly fresh casting where Fawad falls in love with a gorgeous Indian girl and Vaani fit right in." 

Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor's romantic comedy will follow two individuals whose lives have taken unexpected turns for the worst as they support one other out of pure coincidence.

The project is scheduled to begin in September and finish in November of this year.

Although the actor has a huge fan base in India, he had to stay away from Bollywood after acting in 2016's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' because of the Uri strikes. Tensions on the border between the two countries escalated during the incident, forcing Fawad to quit Bollywood films. In addition to him, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar and other artists also abandoned Indian projects.
