Bollywood praises the ‘Udta Punjab’!

For me, #UdtaPunjab is the antithesis of DDLJ for our current generation. Well-observed, poignant & thoroughly enjoyable at the same time!

Day before the release, Udta punjab’s online leak sparked the other controversy. Anurag Kashyap, the film’s co-producer who has been at the forefront of a battle with the censor board, hinted “vested interests” were behind it as the whole bollywood came in the support of the film. The controversy started when, under the political succumb, censor board demanded 89 cuts and removal of word ‘Punjab’ from the movie. The matter was then challanged in Bombay High Court. During this time, whole bollywood came in the support of ‘Udta Punjab’ and urged that uncensored version of the film should be released. At the end, Bombay High Court gave green signal to the film along with A-certificate.Abhishek Chaubey's UDTA PUNJAB is an outstanding film. Shahid & Alia are the bravest actors in tinsel town. pic.twitter.com/vXoEYtSRc6
