#MeToo: Payal Ghosh Slams People Supporting Anurag Kashyap, Tweets 'Let Time Come, Truth Is Going To Come Out'

Payal Ghosh, who has accused Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct, said that efforts are being made to suppress her voice.

New Delhi: Actress Payal Ghosh set several tongues wagging when she accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual harassment. The ‘Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi’ actress alleged that the ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ director tried to force himself on her and requested PMO India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide her security. Anurag Kashap denied all the #MeToo allegations against him and called them ‘baseless’. The actress said truth will eventually come out. “There are a thousand effort everyday to suppress my voice. The plot to change the twist everyday is happening. This is what happens when someone without a filmy background raises the voices. Let the time come, the truth is going to come out .. it's eventual #metoo,” Ghosh tweeted.
Several Bollywood stars including Taapsee Pannu, Kalki Koechlin, Hansal Mehta came out in support of Kashyap after Ghosh accused him of sexual conduct. Richa Chadha sent Ghosh a legal notice after her name was dragged into the matter. “No woman should misuse their liberties to harass other women with unsubstantiated or non-existent, false and baseless allegations. Our Client has initiated appropriate legal action and shall further pursue her legal rights and remedies in law as may be advised in her best interest,” Richa said in a statement after Payal made the sensational claims. The ‘Panga’ actress has now shared that the legal notice has been delivered to Payal Ghosh. She had earlier said that Ghosh didn’t accept the legal notice after a member from her team went to deliver the hard copy of the notice.
“Legal notice has been delivered to Ms Ghosh. Last evening, even as the Press was allowed to go upstairs and continue interviewing her, the lawyer’s person was stopped at the gate. (See the next pic to check). So now, a soft copy and a courier has been delivered to her. Thank you for all your support,” Richa wrote on Instagram.
