Breaking News: Nationwide Protests Erupt in India Over Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh
Protests have erupted across several parts of India against the alleged attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, following the killing of a Hindu Man, Deepu Das. The incident has triggered widespread anger, with Hindu organizations and activists taking to the streets to express their outrage and demand justice. Demonstrations are being held in multiple cities, including Siliguri in West Bengal and the national capital, Delhi. In Siliguri, Hindu groups staged protests and burned effigies to register their anger. In Delhi, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) announced a protest outside the Bangladesh High Commission. Anticipating large gatherings, security arrangements have been significantly tightened. Heavy deployment of Delhi Police and paramilitary forces has been made, with multiple barricades placed to prevent protesters from moving closer to the High Commission premises. Visuals from the site show security personnel cordoning off the entire area, restricting movement and allowing only authorized vehicles. Senior police officials were also present to review the security situation. Protesters were seen holding the national flag and placards, condemning the killing and alleging violations of human rights and religious freedom in Bangladesh. Authorities have deployed buses and additional forces to manage any potential unrest and ensure law and order. The situation remains tense but under control, with protests continuing peacefully under strict surveillance.
