Ajay Devgn To Direct Amitabh Bachchan In His Upcoming Project ‘Mayday’

The power-packed duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn will reunite on-screen after 7 long years post ‘Satyagraha’.

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn made his directorial debut with the 2008 romantic drama ‘U Me Aur Hum’ starring Kajol and himself. The ‘Singham’ of Bollywood then directed the 2016 film ‘Shivaay’. Last seen on screen in ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, Ajay will now direct Big B in his upcoming movie titled ‘Mayday’. ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’: FIR Lodged Against Amitabh Bachchan And Makers The power-packed duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn will reunite on-screen after 7 long years post ‘Satyagraha’. According to a report of PinkVilla, the ‘Golmaal’ actor will not only direct the movie but will also be seen playing one of the lead roles in the movie. A source told the portal, “Ajay Devgn will not only play the lead in the film along with Big B but also direct the film. This will also be the first time Ajay will be directing Bachchan saab on celluloid. When he was scripting for his next directorial venture, he immediately thought of Amit ji and of and wanted him only for the role. Mayday is a thrilling human story which Big B loved and he agreed to be part of the project, when he got the offer from Ajay.” “It is strongly rumoured that Ajay Devgn will be seen playing as pilot.  There are no details yet on the Big B's character, which the makers have kept under wraps for the time being. The rest of the cast is still being finalised”, added the source. The film will go on floors this December in Hyderabad after the ‘Tanhaji’ actor completes his shooting schedule for ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’. Big B is currently busy shooting for ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 12’. Amitabh and Ajay has earlier worked together in 'Major Saab', 'Khakee' and 'Satyagraha'. Other than this, Ajay Devgn has a number of projects lined up for release including ‘Golmaal 5’, ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’, ‘Maidaan’ and ‘RRR’. The ‘Shamitabh’ actor, on the other hand, will be next seen in ‘Brahmastra’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. He will also be sharing screen space for the first time with ‘Baahubali’ actor Prabhas in his upcoming movie with Deepika Padukone.
