Lata Mangeshkar Health Update: Veteran Singer Continues To Remain In ICU For 8th Day

Mumbai: Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back. The singer has been in ICU since then. Lata Mangeshkar is currently being treated at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital, and even after 8 days, she continues to remain under observation. Talking to ABP News, Dr. Pratit Samdani, who is treating the veteran singer, said that at present Lata Mangeshkar is in ICU.
Dr, Pratit Samdani told ABP News, “Lata Mangeshkar is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU itself and she is under observation. Going by her age and health condition, it is hard to say for how many days she will be in the hospital. Nothing can be said about it at the moment.”
The doctor further told, "No one is allowed to meet her. Apart from this, I cannot share any information about Lata Mangeshkar's health."
A lot of speculations have been doing rounds in the media about Lata Mangeshkar’s critical health condition. When enquired about the same, Dr, Pratit Samdani told ABP News, “I would prefer not to comment on it. Whatever I had to say, I have already told you.”
Meanwhile, a close family member of Lata Mangeshkar shared an update about her health and told ABP News, “Lata didi's health is stable and better than before”.
92-year-old Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai on January 9, 2022, as she tested COVID-19 positive. During that time, Dr. Pratat Samdani had told ABP News that Lata Mangeshkar has got corona as well as pneumonia which is also known as ‘Covid pneumonia’.
While talking to ABP News this Wednesday, Lata Mangeshkar's sister Usha Mangeshkar had said that Lata didi's health has improved and she is feeling better than before. Usha Mangeshkar told ABP News, “Lata Mangeshkar's condition is out of danger.”
