After Disha Vakani's ( Dayaben) exit from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Mayur's character is also not seen a lot on the show.
New Delhi: 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah' is one of the most popular and longest-running shows on Television today. The show has given iconic characters like Dayaben, Jethalal, Babita, Taarak, Anjali, Bhide, Madhavi who have become household names over the last 14 years. A whole generation of people have feelings of nostalgia for the show. Besides these iconic characters, there are some actors who appear on the show on and off. One such actor, Mayur Vakani who portrayed the role of Disha Vakani's brother, is Sundar Lal in the show.
For the unversed, Mayur Vakani is Disha Vakani's real brother. Recently, the actor walked 75 km to seek the blessings of Goddess 'Chachri Maa'. The actor also shared a video of his long walk on Instagram which left his fans amazed. Many appreciated the actor's dedication and devotion.
A user wrote,"wow, dedication to devotion" while another wrote "Very Nice Mayur bhai Jay mataji".

Mayur also shared a picture of himself with folded hands after reaching the destination. Mayur captioned the post, "Jay Chachri Maa. Completed 75 km by walk from Ahmedabad to Vithlapur (sic)".

In the video which Mayur shared, we see him walk with a stick wearing a printed T-shirt, joggers and shoes.
After Disha Vakani's exit from TMKOC, Mayur's character is also not seen a lot on the show. While Disha who plays Dayaben exited the show a long time ago, many await her return ardently. Even the show's producer Asit Modi hopes that Disha might make a return.
A Pinkvilla report quoted Asit Modi as saying, "Daya bhabhi is a character audience is unable to forget. People feel its absence. Disha Vakani, I respect her...covid ke time I waited, I'm waiting even today and pray to God for her to return. But she has a family and has her responsibilities towards them. Like the audience, I am also waiting."
