Kamal Haasan Starrer Vikram's First Single 'Pathala Pathala' Out

New Delhi: 'Vikram' is one of Kamal Haasan's most anticipated film of the year 2022. News about the film's first song launch has created much excitement among fans today. Earlier in the day, Kamal Haasan had tweeted about the song's release at 7 PM om Wednesday. Now, all Kamal Haasan fans should gear up for 'Pathala Pathala'.

'Pathala Pathala' is a peppy track with a humorous streak. Sony Music South shared the official lyric video on its YouTube handle. Interestingly, 'Pathala Pathala's lyric video also has snippets of Kamal Haasan dancing on its hook step. Within 7 minutes of its release( at the time of writing) the song's lyric video has been seen by 87K viewers.

Kamal Haasan has himself sung and written lyrics for the number, composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Earlier on Tuesday, Kamal Haasan was all praises for the composer. He took to his Twitter account to write, "All the while I was thinking about what a great lineage you  belong to. From your great grandfather to YOU, what abundant talents and achievements in one family. You are truly living up to your family standards of excellence. More power to you my young friend."

'Vikram' also stras Faahad Fasil and Vijay Sethupathi in key roles. Its supporting cast members include Shanavi Srivatsava, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi, and Gayathrie Shankar.

'Vikram' is the 232nd film of Kamal Haasan. It has been bankrolled by Raaj Kamal International along with R Mahendran. The film will have a theatrical release on June 3 and before that will have a trailer launch at the Cannes Film Festival 2022.

The synopsis of the film reads,‘There lived a ghost’ indicates that Vikram is an action thriller in which Kamal Haasan's character is out to track down a serial killer.'

Interestingly, 'Vikram's was also the name of Kamal Haasan and Dimple Kapadia starrer that released in 1986. The film was directed by Rajashekar and big blockbuster of the time.

The 2022 Vikram has been co-written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
