Singer Abhijeet Sawant Tests COVID-19 Positive

With the surging cases of COVID-19, many Bollywood celebrities have tested positive for the virus. This includes Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt and others. Well, another celebrity has tested positive for COVID-19. It is now the

popular singer and Indian Idol Season 1 winner Abhijeet Sawant who has tested positive for coronavirus.

Abhijeet took to his Twitter and informed his fans about the same. He shared a post and wrote, "I tested Covid positive.. Be safe take all precautions. Don’t ignore wearing mask #CoronavirusIndia #COVIDSecondWave #Govinda #bollywoodsinger #Bollywood".

Abhijeet Sawant released his first debut album ‘Aapka Abhijeet Sawant’ after winning the singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’. He also crooned his voice for Emraan Hashmi in the song ‘Marjawaan Mitjawaan’ from the 2005 movie ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’. Sawant’s second album ‘Junoon’ released in the year 2007.

Other than ‘Indian Idol’, Abhijeet Sawant has also participated in another reality show ‘Clinic All Clear Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar’ where he emerged as the first runner-up. He also participated in the dancing reality show ‘Nach Baliye Season 4’ along with his wife Shilpa.

Abhijeet Sawant made his acting debut in the year 2009 with the movie ‘Lottery’. He also appeared for a brief role in Akshay Kumar’s movie ‘Tees Maar Khan’.

He also co-hosted the 5^th season of ‘Indian Idol’ along with Hussain Kuwajerwala.
