‘Hope I’m Invited’: Athiya Shetty On Reports Of Her Wedding With Boyfriend KL Rahul

Actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have been dating for over three years and speculations about their wedding have been doing the round for quite some time now. There have been several reports recently of their wedding plans and on Tuesday there were rumours again of the couple getting hitched in the next three months.
Athiya has now responded to the rumours by sharing a caption on her Instagram story that read: "I hope I'm invited to the wedding that's taking place in 3 months."
On Tuesday, Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty had also set the record straight and said that nothing has been planned yet. When the actor was asked about the wedding preparations by Radio Mirchi, he responded, “No, nothing has been planned yet!”
This is not the first time when the Shetty family has addressed the rumours about Athiya and Rahul’s wedding. A few months ago, Athiya's brother and actor Ahan Shetty also spoke about the rumoured wedding.
In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, the actor said, "As far as the wedding is concerned, there are no arrangements being made. There is no such ceremony, these are all rumours. When there is no wedding, how can we give you a date?"
KL Rahul is close with Athiya’s family and Suniel Shetty has spoken about his equation with Rahul in the past. The actor had told news agency PTI: "She is a daughter, she will get married sometime. I'd want my son also to get married. The sooner the better! But it's their choice. As far as Rahul is concerned, I love the boy. It's for them to decide what they want to do, because times have changed. I'd like them to take the decision. My blessings are always there."
Athiya and Rahul have recently returned from Germany, where the cricketer underwent surgery for a groin injury.
