Farmers' Protest: Sunny Deol Backs New Farm Laws, Gets Y-Category Security

New Delhi: The nationwide farmers' protest against the three farm bills enacted by the centre earlier this year, has garnered huge support from across the world. Various leaders, political parties and celebrities have come in support of the farmers' protest in the national capital. According to a report of IANS, it states that the Central government has provided Y-category security to Sunny Deol comprising of 11 personnel, two commandos. Sunny Deol defended his party saying that he stands with the farmers and that his party will always think about their welfare. Taking to his official Twitter account, Deol said “I request the whole world that it is a matter between our farmers and the government. Do not come between them, because both will find a way after discussions. I know that many people want to take advantage of the situation and are creating problems. They are not thinking of farmers. They may have their own agenda.” Sunny Deol is the eldest son of the veteran actor Dharmendra. He made his debut into the Hindi film industry with the 1983 romantic film ‘Betaab’ opposite Amrita Singh. He then went on to star in several successful films including ‘Tridev’, ‘Ghayal’, ‘Damini’, ‘Lootere’, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ and many others. He received the National Film Award for his performance as a lawyer in the film ‘Damini’.
