Kriti Sanon’s Birthday Post Hints At Don 3 Role Opposite Ranveer Singh

Kriti Sanon’s birthday wish for Ranveer Singh sparks speculation of her joining Don 3. The film is expected to go on floors in January 2026. Here's what we know.

Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh turned 40 on July 6, and wishes flooded social media from all corners of the industry. But one message stood out and triggered a wave of fan speculation, Kriti Sanon’s heartfelt birthday note, which may have teased a collaboration in the highly anticipated 'Don 3'.

Sharing a warm selfie with Ranveer on Instagram, Kriti wrote, “Happiest Birthday @ranveersingh!! Your energy, your hard work, your crazy talent, and the love you keep spreading has always inspired me!! Shine on, rockstar!” However, it was her parting line that lit up the internet: “P.S. Looking forward to working with you soon!” — a cryptic hint fans believe could signal her entry into the Don franchise.

Don 3 Preps Underway, Shoot Likely in January 2026

The timing of Kriti’s message coincides with mounting reports that Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is finally set to go on floors in early 2026. As per Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the production revealed: “Yes, there’s been a delay — but it couldn’t be helped. Ranveer Singh, who replaced Shah Rukh Khan in the franchise, had to deal with a wave of online trolling for ‘daring’ to step into SRK’s shoes.”

The insider also noted that the delay was a strategic one, “Farhan and Ranveer mutually decided to lie low and let the heat die down. Ranveer also needed time to physically and mentally prepare for the role, which requires rigorous martial arts training.”

Ranveer, Kriti’s Packed Schedules Fuel Curiosity

Kriti, who just wrapped filming Tere Ishk Mein with Dhanush (releasing November 28), is also busy with Cocktail 2, where she stars alongside Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. Her surprise note to Ranveer amid these commitments has raised eyebrows in fan circles and industry insiders alike.

On the other hand, Ranveer Singh, last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and in a cameo as 'Simmba' in 'Singham Again', will next appear in 'Dhurandhar', an action thriller.

Meanwhile, director Farhan Akhtar is completing work on his own war film 120 Bahadur, where he plays Major Shaitan Singh. The movie is set for release on November 21, 2025, just in time for 'Don 3' to start rolling.

Is Kriti Sanon the New Don Diva?

Although there's no official confirmation from the makers of 'Don 3', Kriti’s intriguing birthday message — combined with the franchise’s revival news — has certainly given fans something to speculate about. Whether she's stepping into a lead role or playing a new character in the action-packed universe remains to be seen.

Until then, all eyes are on what’s brewing between Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon in the world of cinema.
