New Delhi: Actor Shah Rukh Khan, who has been enchanting audiences with his performances for decades in Bollywood, is a loving father of three. Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have three children together: Aryan, their eldest son, Suhana, their daughter, and AbRam, their youngest son. The actor once revealed in an interview why he chose the unusual name "AbRam".
In a previous interview with Rajat Sharma's ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, Shah Rukh elaborated on the meaning of the name AbRam, stating, "First of all, Hazrat Ibrahim in Islam is known as Abraham, and same in the Bible, and Jewish, it's Abram.”
Since the actor's wife Gauri is Hindu and he is Muslim, they planned to raise their children with a secular outlook, SRK said. Despite the backlash the name received, the actor stressed that the family upholds the same secular principles as the country throughout.
Stressing the significance of secularism, Shah Rukh shared, “I thought that since my wife is Hindu and I am Muslim, we wanted our kids to feel a sense of secularism at home. Many people didn’t like it, and it became a controversy, but I believe that our home has the same secularism as our country."
