Nushrratt was in Israel to participate in the Haifa Film Festival which ran through September 28 and October 7, where her film Akelli was also premiered.
Earlier on Sunday, Nushrratt landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, dressed in casuals and looking haggard. Almost teary-eyed, Bharuccha requested the media personnel gathered in huge numbers outside the airport to give her "some time".
"Mujhe thoda waqt dijiye (Please give me some time)," she told reporters as she was being escorted to her car by security.
The actor's team had lost contact with her after a surprise attack by Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip. They later shared: “We have finally managed to get in touch with Nushrratt and with the help of the Embassy, she is being safely brought back home. We did not get a direct flight so she is on a connecting flight home.”
“For her safety, more details cannot be shared but as soon as she lands in India, we will inform you. We are relieved and thank God that she is safe and on her way to India.”
Bharuccha was last seen in 'Akelli', the thriller drama about an ordinary Indian woman trapped in a combat zone.
