Zomato Will Now Be Eternal. How Will This Impact Its Food Delivery Services?
The food-tech giant said that the change will apply only to the corporate entity and no changes will be made in the Zomato brand name or app.

Zomato Ltd has received the final nod from shareholders to officially change the corporate name to Eternal Ltd. Informing the decision via an exchange filing, the food-tech giant said that the change will apply only to the corporate entity and no changes will be made in the Zomato brand name or app.
This marks a major step forward in the firm’s efforts to diversify its quick commerce operations. The company assured its customers that the famous food delivery service will continue under the known Zomato brand, reported Business Standard.
The shareholders have also given their approval to making revisions to the Zomato’s Memorandum of Association (MoA) and Articles of Association (AoA). The legal documents of the company will now reflect the new corporate identity.
The approval for the changes came via a postal ballot as mentioned by the firm in official communication dated February 6 and 7. The report detailing the voting outcome was published on March 9, 2025.

Zomato's Diversification Strategy
The rebranding also falls in line with the company’s long-term vision as it looks to expand beyond the food delivery services. Some of its diversified ventures over the years include Blinkit, District, and Hyperpure.
On February 6, the firm’s board of directors also approved the corporate name change, subject to regulatory approvals.
The transition will also see the corporate website of Zomato updated from zomato.com to eternal.com. Further, the company’s stock ticker will change from ZOMATO to ETERNAL.
Sharing more details about the decision, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal, inked a letter to the shareholders. He noted that internally, the firm started using ‘Eternal’ after it acquired Blinkit to separate between the corporate entity and the Blinkit brand.
