India-US Bilateral Trade Agreement Will Enable Movement Of Manufacturing From China To India, Says Ex-Trump Official  

Speaking exclusively to ABP Live, Mark Linscott, who served as assistant USTR in 1st Trump admin, says proposed pact can address irritants like tariff & non-tariff trade barriers between US and India.

US-India Trade: The proposed bilateral trade agreement (BTA) between the United States and India — agreed upon by President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi — will enhance Washington’s efforts to relocate some of its manufacturing from China to India, according to Mark Linscott, who served as assistant US trade representative (AUSTR), during the first tenure of the Trump administration. Such a move, he said, would safeguard the US’ supply chain.
