Kanhaiya Vs Tejashwi? Congress Posters On 'Hope' For Bihar Send Ripples Across RJD Ahead Of Polls

Congress posters in Bihar suggest a potential contest between Kanhaiya Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav in the upcoming assembly polls.

New posters put up by Congress in Bihar have raised the question of a potential contest between party leader Kanhaiya Kumar and Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in the upcoming assembly polls.

National Students Union of India leader Chunnu Singh has put up posters reading Kanhaiya is the "hope" of Bihar. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and state in-charge Krishan Allavuru feature on the poster along with Kumar.

The posters also come up ahead of Kumar's Bihar visit which will begin from March 16, for which he could meet with Rahul Gandhi on March 12 to get his approval.

Tejashwi Is The 'Hope' Of Bihar

Meanwhile, Rashtriya Janata Dal spokesperson Mrtyunjay Tiwari said that it does not matter who is putting up posters and where.

"The people of Bihar have decided to make Tejashwi the Chief Minister," he said.

"Anyone can express their hope by putting up someone's poster. What is the harm in this? It is a democracy. Anyway, Tejashwi has shown his work for the people. Tejashwi is going to get the hope of the people," he added.

No Scope For Nitish In Mahagathbandhan

On Sunday, Tejashwi dismissed possibility of including Nitish Kumar in the Mahagathbandhan. On being asked whether they would welcome him if he joins, the Leader of Opposition dismissed it as "nonsense".

He further said that there is no question of taking Nitish Kumar along.

"Neither has an offer been made to Nitish by our party before nor is one being made now. We will not offer him anything. Only I and Lalu Yadav are authorized to make statements. No one else is authorized to speak on this matter. After all, where do such questions come from? Such nonsense should not be entertained," Tejashwi said.
