Saba Pataudi Slams Trolls Questioning Saif Ali Khan's 'Quick Recovery' After Attack

Saif Ali Khan's sister Saba Pataudi has hit back at trolls who questioned the actor's speedy recovery after being stabbed multiple times.

New Delhi: Actor Saif Ali Khan’s sister Saba Pataudi has responded to trolls who have questioned her brother's "quick recovery" after the horrific attack on his Bandra home earlier this month. The actor underwent surgeries after being taken to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after being stabbed many times during an alleged robbery attempt on January 16. The fact that Saif was allowed to go home after just five days of treatment, despite the seriousness of his injuries, caused him to face immense backlash on social media.

Saba Pataudi's Message to Trolls

Concerned by Saif's quick recovery, many social media users—including some politicians—asked how he could walk so soon after the attack incident. Now, Saba Pataudi shared a post on Instagram to let these naysayers rest. Those who follow her, she said, should "educate themselves".

On Tuesday (January 28), Saba Pataudi re-posted an Instagram story of The Filmy Official, with a doctor's explanation. She asked the audience to read the caption. A cardiologist Dr. Deepak Krishnamurthy explained Saif's rapid recovery in the caption. Responding to the concerns about Saif's five-day recovery, the doctor said, "People who've had cardiac bypass surgeries climb stairs on 3rd/4th day…educate yourselves."

A Bangladeshi citizen, Shariful Islam Shahzad, is accused of attacking Saif Ali Khan. The court has extended his custody until January 29, 2025.

Nevertheless, the Mumbai Police have stepped up their probe. A woman in the Nadia district of West Bengal was held for questioning by officials on Monday over the incident. The woman's identity was recorded on the SIM card that was used by the Bangladeshi national who was previously detained for the assault, according to sources.
